In this honest and deeply personal presentation, Sharon shares her journey from childhood separation, abandonment and anger to forgiveness, self-worth and finding the courage to be seen.
She explores how the experiences of our past can continue influencing our emotions, choices and relationships long after the original events have passed.
Sharon also shares the conversation that challenged her thinking, the emotional trigger that revealed she still had healing to do and the four elements that became her L.I.F.E. Framework.
Through her story, Sharon encourages audiences to consider an important question:
This presentation is not about denying pain or pretending difficult experiences did not happen.
It is about recognising that even when we could not control what happened to us, we may still have the power to choose our next step.
Sharon’s signature message is supported by the four elements of her L.I.F.E. Framework:

Lean In
Acknowledge what you are feeling rather than continually avoiding, suppressing or running from it.

Identify
Become curious about your emotions, where they may have begun and what may be happening beneath the surface.

Forgiveness
Explore forgiveness as a way of freeing yourself from the continuing weight of anger, pain and resentment.

Embrace Your Self-Worth
Recognise that you are already worthy of love, respect, happiness, connection and a fulfilling life.
The L.I.F.E. Framework gives audiences a simple and memorable way to reflect on their experiences and consider the next courageous step they may be ready to take.
Sharon creates a heartfelt and thought-provoking experience that invites audiences to reflect without making them feel pressured to share personal information.
Depending on the event and presentation format, audiences may leave with:
A deeper understanding of how past experiences can influence the present
Greater awareness of the emotions beneath their immediate reactions
A healthier understanding of what forgiveness can mean
Permission to release shame, perfection and the need to pretend
A renewed appreciation of their voice and personal story
Practical ways to strengthen self-worth and establish boundaries
Greater compassion for themselves and others
Hope that their past does not have to determine their future
The courage to begin one important conversation
A personal commitment to take their next courageous step

Sharon’s intention is not to tell people what they should do or how they should feel.
She creates a space where people can listen, reflect and recognise the choices available to them.
Sharon can tailor her presentation to support the theme, audience and purpose of your event.

In 2015, Sharon wrote and published her first book.
Yet the books remained packed away in a box beneath her bed.
Although Sharon had written her story, she was still afraid to be truly seen.
Sharing the book meant sharing her pain, her vulnerability and the experiences she had spent years trying to understand.
Eventually, Sharon recognised that hiding her book also meant hiding the message that could help another woman feel less alone.
Taking the book out from beneath the bed became a powerful symbol of Sharon’s decision to stop hiding, honour her story and use her voice.
Today, Sharon brings that same honesty and courage to the stage.
She does not speak as someone who has lived a perfect life or has every answer.
She speaks as a woman who has experienced adversity, carried the pain of her past and made the courageous choice to begin healing.

Sharon L. Bech is a speaker, author and founder of The L.I.F.E. Movement.
Having experienced childhood separation, foster care, institutional living and the lasting emotional impact of abandonment, Sharon understands what it feels like to search for belonging and carry pain into adulthood.
Her personal journey taught her that while we cannot always choose what happens to us, we can begin choosing how we want to move forward.
Sharon now uses her story and signature L.I.F.E. Framework to create spaces where women feel seen, heard and valued.
Her work is grounded in compassion, honest conversation, meaningful connection and the belief that every woman has a voice and a story that matters.
